Jeff Chu

Jeff’s career has spanned two decades as a seasoned MedTech researcher, inventor, entrepreneur, advisor, and investor. Prior to Features, he helped build, scale, and exit from an industry leading product development and commercialization strategy consultancy focused on medical device and consumer health products. During this time, he worked with 100+ companies, and his work was recognized by several organizations including Time Magazine Inventions of the Year (x2), Computerworlds, and Sybase. Was previously a core director for two federally funded commercialization centers (NIH and FDA), helping researchers translate their work into commercial products. In 2020, he co-founded the non-profit MedTech Collaborative, dedicated to establishing Northern New England as a nationally recognized MedTech innovation hub and supporting the region’s growing industry. Jeff is an active board member and advisor to several companies and organizations (both privates and non-profits), is an inventor on over 16 patents, has been a Principal Investigator for several NIH and DoD research grants with over 23 peer reviewed publications, and is an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at The Roux at Northeastern University, Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship at Dartmouth College, and at MassChallenge.
